Google Ads management that reports cost per booked job, not cost per click

For HVAC contractors, moving companies and B2B SaaS teams who want paid search run as one system with SEO and GEO, and measured to booked jobs or pipeline. Across 816 HVAC contractors and $14.9M in spend, blended search cost per lead was $104 in January 2026. We report what each of those leads became.

  • Conversion tracking rebuilt from call recordings and CRM stages before we touch a bid
  • Paid and organic share one keyword map, so you stop paying for clicks you already rank for
  • One weekly report: cost per booked job or cost per qualified opportunity, with SEO in the same table

What Google Ads management means here

Google Ads management is the continuous running of your Google Ads account: account structure, keywords and negatives, campaigns across Search, Local Services Ads, Performance Max, YouTube and Demand Gen, bidding, landing pages, call and CRM tracking, and weekly optimisation. Paradigm Media Networks runs it as one of three engines in its performance marketing agency service, beside SEO and generative engine optimization services, and reports it to cost per booked job for home services or cost per qualified opportunity for SaaS. Plans start at $1,500 a month and ad spend stays in your own account.

Google Ads management by vertical

Three industries, three different definitions of a conversion. The account structure, the landing page and the report change with each one.

HVAC Google Ads management

$149non-branded search cost per lead vs $34 branded and $72 on Performance Max, SearchLight benchmark, Jan 2026

HVAC search is emergency intent at prices that move with the weather. In the SearchLight benchmark (816 contractors, $14.9M spend, January 2026) blended search cost per lead was $104, non-branded $149 and Performance Max $72, which is why we split branded from non-branded on day one and only add PMax once Search is stable. We run Search and Local Services Ads side by side, bid by service line and season, route every call through tracking and report cost per booked job, not cost per lead. Cost per booked job is cost per lead divided by close rate, so a cheaper lead is not always a cheaper job; both channels earn their budget because they catch different searches.

Moving company Google Ads management

327KGoogle impressions in six months for Moving Hub's route and city pages, the organic library that paid route campaigns land on

Movers are chosen on route, date and trust, so campaigns are built by route and city rather than one generic "movers near me" ad group. Each campaign lands on a route or city page that already exists for organic search, with a quote form that qualifies date, distance and inventory before anyone calls. That shared page library is the point: for Moving Hub, organic search, digital PR and AI-visibility work produced 327K Google impressions and 450 referring domains in six months, and every one of those pages is a ready-made landing page the moment a paid route campaign switches on. Budgets follow the calendar, heavier from May to September and in the last week of each month when leases turn over, and quote-to-book rate is reported beside cost per quote.

Organic detail is on our moving company SEO agency page; the proof is the Moving Hub case study.

What is included

Five workstreams, every month, on every account. The first two are done before any new money is spent.

Five-step Google Ads conversion tracking loop: homeowner clicks ad, lands on dedicated page, call is tracked, job recorded in CRM, revenue uploaded to Google Ads
The tracking loop we build before touching a bid: click, page, tracked call, CRM job, revenue back to Google Ads.
What is included in Google Ads management
WorkstreamWhat you get
Account structureCampaigns by service line or use case and by intent, branded split from non-branded, shared negative lists, budget rules by season, PMax with brand and placement exclusions only once Search is stable
LSA vs Search decisionFor home services, a written call on which jobs LSA should win and which Search should cover, re-checked quarterly against cost per booked job for each
Landing pagesOne page per offer or route, offer in the headline and click-to-call above the fold, tested against the control every 14 days
Call tracking and CRM importDynamic call tracking with recordings, calls under 60 seconds and spam excluded, GA4 and Tag Manager rebuilt, offline conversion import from your CRM with job or deal value
Weekly reportingSpend, booked jobs or qualified pipeline, cost per booked job or cost per SQL, search-term and placement findings, and organic results in the same report

Why landing pages are a workstream, not an afterthought: the page on the right is what a paid click should land on.

How it pairs with SEO and GEO

Paid search and organic are run from one keyword map. Search-term reports tell the SEO team which services and cities convert, so those pages get built first; once a page ranks, its paid bids are reduced rather than left competing with your own listing. The same pages and FAQ blocks are then structured for AI answers through our generative engine optimization services, so a homeowner asking ChatGPT or Google AI Mode for a contractor sees the same brand they saw in the ad. The HVAC version of this argument, with numbers, is in HVAC PPC vs SEO: cheaper booked jobs. For brands that also need demand creation, Meta Ads management runs beside Search, as it does for the clinic account in our AM Aesthetics London work; the Elegante Interiors case study shows what that engine produces on its own.

Questions owners ask before hiring a Google Ads agency

What is the minimum Google Ads spend you work with?

Enough for each campaign to record roughly 30 conversions a month, which is the floor Smart Bidding needs to learn from. For most HVAC and moving companies that is $3,000 to $5,000 a month in media; for B2B SaaS it depends on CPC in your category, often $5,000 and up. The $1,500 plan covers ad spend up to $5,000 a month; the audit tells you the number for your market.

Should an HVAC company use Local Services Ads or Google Ads?

Both, run side by side. LSA wins the Google Guaranteed badge and the emergency call, and you pay per lead rather than per click, but LSA only shows for a limited set of searches. Search covers everything LSA cannot: specific services, brands, neighbourhoods and competitor terms. The full comparison is in HVAC Local Services Ads vs Google Ads vs Angi.

How long before Google Ads results show?

Tracking is rebuilt and campaigns are live within 14 days. Expect cost per booked job to settle by day 45 to 60, once Smart Bidding has enough real conversions and the first landing page test has run. Seasonal verticals such as HVAC are judged against the same month last year, not the previous month.

What does your Google Ads reporting include?

A weekly report showing spend, booked jobs or qualified pipeline, cost per booked job or cost per SQL, branded versus non-branded split, and search-term and PMax placement findings, with organic results in the same report so you can see the whole system. Call recordings and CRM stages are the source, not platform-reported conversions.

What are realistic Google Ads CPL benchmarks for B2B SaaS?

GrowthSpree's 2026 benchmark across 300+ SaaS accounts and $60M+ in spend puts median non-brand search CPC at $8.50 to $14 and median cost per form fill at $180 to $350, with target cost per SQL from $400 to $1,000 at $5K to $15K ACV up to $8,000 to $20,000 at $150K+ ACV. We treat these as a sanity check only; the target we manage to is cost per qualified opportunity, set from your own close rate and ACV. For HVAC, the equivalent is the HVAC marketing benchmarks: CPL and ROAS by channel post.
