HVAC Google Ads management is the ongoing running of a heating and cooling contractor's Google Search, Local Services Ads (LSA) and Performance Max campaigns, from account structure and seasonal budgets to call tracking and landing pages. We manage HVAC accounts for a flat fee from $1,500 a month, reported to cost per booked job. Ad spend is paid directly to Google.

HVAC Google Ads management at Paradigm Media Networks covers six workstreams every month: service-line account structure, the LSA and Search budget split, seasonal budget rules, landing pages, call tracking with booked-job import, and weekly reporting.
Tracking is rebuilt before any bid changes, because Smart Bidding can only optimize toward the conversions it is shown.
| Workstream | What we do in an HVAC account | Why it matters for HVAC |
|---|---|---|
| Account structure | Separate campaigns for emergency repair, replacement and installation, maintenance plans, indoor air quality and branded terms; shared negative lists for jobs, DIY, parts and training searches | An AC that died at 9pm and a system replacement planned for spring need different bids, ads and pages |
| LSA and Search split | A written decision on which job types LSA should win and which Search should cover, re-checked quarterly against cost per booked job for each | LSA shows for a limited set of searches; Search covers brands, specific services, neighborhoods and competitors |
| Seasonal budgets | Budget raised into the cooling and heating peaks and reduced, not paused, in shoulder months; results judged against the same month last year | Pausing resets the learning Smart Bidding has built just before prices rise |
| Landing pages | One page per offer, with the service and city in the headline, click-to-call above the fold, license and insurance visible | A homepage asks an emergency caller to hunt for the phone number |
| Call tracking and CRM import | Dynamic number insertion, recordings, short and spam calls excluded, GA4 and Tag Manager checked, booked jobs and revenue imported back to Google Ads | Bidding learns from jobs that booked, not from every call that rang |
| Weekly reporting | Spend, booked jobs, cost per booked job by campaign and by LSA vs Search, branded vs non-branded split, search-term findings | One number you can compare with your technician capacity |

The step-by-step build (campaign stack, keyword match types, the full negative keyword list) is published free in our guide to Google Ads campaign setup for HVAC contractors. This page covers what it looks like when we run it for you.
We split HVAC budget between Local Services Ads and Google Search by cost per booked job for each job type, not by cost per lead. LSA usually takes the emergency repair calls it is shown for; Search covers everything LSA cannot reach, such as specific equipment brands, replacement research, neighborhoods and competitor names.

Three facts from Google's own documentation shape how we run LSA for HVAC contractors:

For the full channel comparison, including Angi, read HVAC Local Services Ads vs Google Ads vs Angi.
We look at your job types, reviews and call answering, then give you a written split for your market.
A booked HVAC job from Google Ads costs your cost per lead divided by your book rate. That is why we report cost per booked job rather than cost per lead: a cheap lead that rarely books can cost more per job than an expensive one that usually does.
The table applies that formula to SearchLight Digital's HVAC Google Ads benchmark (January 2026 data, 816 contractors, $14.9M of tracked Google Ads spend), also summarized in our HVAC marketing benchmarks.
| Campaign type | Cost per lead | Book rate | Cost per booked job (CPL ÷ book rate) | What we do with it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Branded search | $34 | 55.3% | about $61 | Always run; defends your name |
| Performance Max | $72 | 32.2% | about $224 | Add only after Search tracking is clean |
| Blended Google Ads | $104 | 41.7% | about $249 | The reference point for planning |
| Non-branded search | $149 | 37.6% | about $396 | Where structure and landing pages decide the result |
Source: SearchLight Digital, January 2026; the division is ours. One vendor's client data is a reference point, not a market average, and your book rate depends mostly on how fast your team answers the phone.

Worked example. Smart Bidding needs roughly 30 conversions a month per campaign to learn. At the $104 blended cost per lead, 30 leads cost about $3,120 in media. That is why our entry plan is built for HVAC accounts spending $3,000 to $5,000 a month with Google.
HVAC Google Ads budgets should rise ahead of the cooling and heating peaks and fall, but never stop, in spring and fall. Cooling searches climb from March and April and heating searches build from September, so campaigns and landing pages have to be live before the weather turns.
The month-by-month demand curve is on our HVAC marketing agency page. How we manage it in practice:

No new call-only ads can be created. Google removed the option to create call ads in February 2026, and existing call-only ads stop serving in February 2027; the replacement is responsive search ads with call assets.

Sources: PPC Land and Google Ads API deprecations. Many HVAC accounts relied on call-only ads for emergency searches on mobile. Every account we take over gets a call-ad audit in week one, and any live call-only ads are rebuilt as responsive search ads with call assets and call tracking before the 2027 cut-off.

HVAC Google Ads management at Paradigm Media Networks costs a flat $1,500, $3,000 or $5,000 a month, set by how much you spend with Google. Ad spend is paid directly to Google from your own account and is never part of our fee.

The first 90 days of HVAC Google Ads management move from tracking to structure to bidding. Campaigns are live within 14 days, and cost per booked job usually settles between day 45 and day 60, once Smart Bidding has enough real booked-job conversions.
| Window | What we do | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| Days 1 to 14 | Audit, call tracking and GA4 rebuild, call-ad audit, branded and non-branded split, LSA profile and review check, first landing page | Rebuilt account live; first weekly report |
| Days 15 to 45 | Search-term pruning, negative lists, LSA lead feedback every week, booked-job import connected | Cost per booked job by campaign starts to stabilize |
| Days 46 to 90 | First landing page test result, bid strategy moved to targets based on booked jobs, seasonal plan for the next quarter | A cost per booked job you can plan staffing around |

Paradigm Media Networks is the wrong HVAC Google Ads agency in three situations, and we would rather say so before you sign.
An HVAC Google Ads agency is worth paying when the account needs more weekly attention than an owner or office manager can give in peak season, and when someone needs to connect ads data to booked jobs in the CRM.
In-house works if you have a person with time to review search terms weekly, maintain call tracking and import booked jobs.
What makes Paradigm Media Networks different from a PPC-only vendor is that we also run SEO, AI search visibility and websites. Search-term reports tell the SEO team which services and cities convert, so those pages get built first, and once a page ranks we can reduce paid bids instead of paying for clicks you already win organically. That connection is the core idea on our HVAC marketing agency page.
Proof, stated honestly. We do not yet publish an HVAC paid search case study; ask us on the call for a walk-through of a comparable account. Our published HVAC result is organic: a single-location contractor went from 10 to 12 inbound calls a month to consistently 80+ within four months, with Google Business Profile views up 320% and $0 ad spend (HVAC case study). It shows how we build the pages and profile that paid clicks land on. It does not prove anything about paid search, and we do not present it that way.
Enough for each campaign to record about 30 conversions a month, which for most HVAC markets means $3,000 to $5,000 a month in media. At SearchLight Digital's January 2026 blended figure of $104 per lead, 30 leads cost about $3,120. Spend above that should follow your capacity to take calls and the seasonal plan, not a fixed share of revenue.
No. The $1,500 Foundation fee covers our management of Search and Local Services Ads for accounts spending up to $5,000 a month. Ad spend is billed by Google to your own payment method, so every dollar is visible in your account and stays yours if you leave.
That band is quoted individually. We scope it on the free audit call from the Growth and Scale inclusions your account needs, and confirm the fee in writing before any work starts.
Yes. LSA management is part of every HVAC plan: profile and verification checks, service and job-type settings, weekly lead feedback, review and response-time work, and a quarterly decision on which job types LSA should win and which Search should cover, judged on cost per booked job.
Calls usually start in the first two weeks once campaigns are live. Cost per booked job normally settles between day 45 and day 60, after Smart Bidding has seen enough booked-job conversions and the first landing page test has run. Seasonal accounts are judged against the same month last year.
Only after Search tracking is clean. In SearchLight Digital's January 2026 data, Performance Max had the lowest non-branded cost per lead at $72 but also the lowest book rate at 32.2%. We add it on the Growth plan with brand exclusions, once booked-job data is flowing back into the account.
You do. We work inside your Google Ads, LSA, GA4 and call tracking accounts with admin access granted to us. If you end the engagement, the account history, conversion data and tracking numbers stay with your business.
